By Nikole Stewart, The Mix | Months after being announced by CBS, it’s been confirmed that there is a new singing competition called The Road. The show comes from creators Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan. But what’s even more exciting is that Keith Urban has been confirmed to headline the show.
Since leaving The Voice in 2023, this is Shelton’s first singing competition, but his role is in more of a behind-the-scenes aspect. If you want to know more about the singing competition, keep reading.
What is it even about? The docu-follow format trails a headlining superstar, in this case being Urban, on their journey to discover the next big artist. Urban will headline special performances at music venues across America that feature emerging talents. These new artists will act as his opening acts.
