Bandcamp Friday is back this year, and we’re kicking off on March 7th! On Bandcamp Friday we waive our revenue share, and pass the funds directly to you. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with existing fans, reach new ones, and share your music with the Bandcamp community.
Last year fans showed up in a big way, with over $194 million in total sales supporting artists like our Colorado artists Lisa Selle, Mad Dog Friedman, Laurie Dameron, Jenn Cleary, Joy Iwancio, and Marty Jones! With your participation we’re excited to do it again this year!
The Bandcamp Team
If you’ve started to feel guilty about buying music on any other day of the month, here’s something to keep in mind: On Bandcamp Fridays, an average of 93% of your money reaches the artist/label (after payment processor fees). When you make a purchase on any other day (as millions of you have, with more than $1 billion now paid directly to artists), an average of 82% reaches the artist/label. Every day is a good day to support artists on Bandcamp!

Jenn also writes: Do you use Bandcamp? Bandcamp is a great way to support independent artists. They distribute the highest income percentage to artists over other streaming services. All of my music is available there as streams, downloads and CD’s. If you use this platform, give a “follow” and you will get notifications of my new releases first, before the official release date. High quality downloads are only $1/.
Jenn Cleary is an award-winning, folk-rock singer-songwriter from Boulder, Colorado, with many years’ experience performing on international stages. She has a range of song styles and performs bluesy, acoustic solo shows, as well as rocking out with her full electric band. Jenn just released her own version of “Landslide”.
In addition to helping artists pay the rent, or fund album recordings and tours, Bandcamp Fridays have also became a beacon for artists and record labels looking to raise awareness for causes or raise money for charities. Noise For Now raised money for voter’s rights and abortion access. “Bandcamp provided us with the ideal platform to maximize our fundraising impact,” says Amellia Bauer, Noise For Now’s Executive Director. “Released for 24 hours only on a Bandcamp Friday in 2022, the benefit compilation Good Music To Ensure Safe Abortion Access For All was able to raise $231,000—all without platform fees.
“We are grateful to Bandcamp for being the most artist-friendly platform around.”
