Happy Holidays! It fascinates me that peoples from all over the world – without communicating from continent to continent – and eons ago – chose to celebrate in some way this time of the year. So whatever “holiday” you’re celebrating, do so with honor and fun and reverence and to continue a tradition for a long time! And think of the different forms of music that was also created in honor of these celebrations!

We had a nice group for our Holiday Dinner at Olive Garden last Saturday. Nice to meet members Pat and Katie, past member Bill Thode, and supporters Jan and Carol (new musical group? Just kidding!) We played Rock Trivia and Pat got the most correct answers with Steve and Bill following! We are hoping to get to work more with them in the future. Also, Board member Larry Thompson explained a little more on how he hopes the newly revised songwriting contest will help further the careers of some of our songwriters!

This was one GREAT interview! Take a few minutes to watch it: The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Elton John and Brandi Carlisle. Stephen welcomes singer-songwriters Elton John & Brandi Carlyle. https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/fHtrW8UEVxmM1MQyLULzzlEXsMAg_gS4/ 12/17/24
