My apologies for not issuing a September or October edition of the Blues Insider. It has been a very busy couple of months. On August 18, we had our preliminary blues challenge event at Rockabillies in Arvada. We are grateful to Virginia and Jimmy for hosting our event. On September 27, we had our finals event at the Rusty Bucket in Lakewood. We are grateful to Ron and his staff! They hosted our finals on a Friday night and it was great!
On October 13, we had our sendoff party/fundraiser at Odde’s Music Grill in Westminster. All of our winners performed and then Tony Luke closed the show. More on that later.
We are still in search of an editor to publish our newsletter and three weekly updates each month. For now, I am doing my best. It is a non-paid position, and you must be a member of MHBS. If you are interested, please send us an email to Info@milehighbluessociety.com

This Year’s IBC
On Sunday, August 18, 2024 we held the preliminary event for the road to Memphis Blues Challenge at Rockabillies. We had a great line up of performers.
On September 27, we had our finals event at the Rusty Bucket in Lakewood. The winners of that event are George Street and the Drive ! They will be representing the MHBS in the Blues Foundations International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
