By: Claire Lavezzorio, Channel 7 Denver, KMGH | Video story | a group of young girls from the school went to the Denver City Council to ask for fast permitting for the yurt so they could have music classes outside the regular building. Another attendee at the council meeting, who didn’t even know the girls, made some rather rude and racist remarks regarding their request. The council approved the request, the permit was granted, and the yurt was set up and ready for classes when school started.
