Photo: Sarah Banker | COMBO joined SoFar Sounds for a house concert in the south Denver area on Saturday, July 20th. The “venue” was superb! Such a lovely backyard. Landscaped to look like a place near a mountain stream. Started out to be a perfectly wonderful summer evening. Unfortunately, it turned into a typical Colorado summer evening… The first two performers Sarah Banker and Bonnie Cash got to play their sets and then – KABOOM! A severe rainstorm hit.
The third performer, HOME, was unable to play and will be rescheduled. However, the first two acts were quite entertaining.
Sarah Banker is a singer/songwriter based in the mountains of the Front Range of Colorado. Her music is soothing and intentional, guaranteed to strike a chord with all who listen.
Bonnie Cash (Shiloh Gold) is also a singer/songwriter. No info was readily available on her
The last artist of the night was to be Amber Homes, who performs under the stage name HOME. Home is a singer/songwriter and a Denver, Colorado native. Her music draws inspiration from genres such as R&B, Neo Soul, Classic Jazz, and Alternative Pop. Home is recognized by the raw authenticity and genuine emotion in her voice. A Home is universally known as a representation of one’s comfort zone where they can be 100% themselves. It’s also known that home is where the heart is; which is why her songs only speak on what she’s personally experienced and she uses her music as a tool to heal herself and others. HOME’s music speaks to the person you are when you know you’re alone; the emotions you don’t share with anyone, she creates a space where listeners can be real with themselves, held accountable and also affirmed. Some accolades under her belt include being featured in Voyage Magazine, Singing in the Denver Ball Arena for the Denver Nuggets, and being featured on the radio station 104.7 The Drop.
