Dearest Gentle Blues Lovers! (Sorry, I’ve watched too many episodes of Bridgerton)
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the June edition of our Mile High Blues Society newsletter. First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication to our cause. Your passion for the blues is what drives us forward, and it’s truly inspiring to see the impact we can make when we come together as a community.
May was a Good month for the MHBS. Plans are progressing for our IBC Blues challenge coming up and we have 2 dates so far. On Sunday August 18, Rockabillies will be hosting our first preliminary event. We have also scheduled Sunday September 29 at Wheelz either for our second preliminary or the finals. More to come!
We are still in search of an editor to publish our newsletter and three weekly updates each month. For now I am doing my best. It is a non-paid position and you must be a member of MHBS. If you are interested please send us an email to Info@milehighbluessociety.com
We had a booth at the Greeley Blues Jam and had an awesome time. With Local, Regional and national acts on two stages, there was great music all day long! They really do a great job with this festival. We signed up several new members and sold some merchandise. We plan to go back again next year. If you would like to to help us run a booth at one of the events we go to or if you would like to help us run our Blues Challenge events please go to https://milehighbluessociety.com/volunteer. Special Events
Our new Board held our first General Membership meeting Monday, June 3. We appreciate everyone who was in attendance. We signed up a new member and held the drawing for a pair for tickets to see Sue Foley. Bud Kreppel won the tickets! In fact, I ran into Bud and his wife at the show. It was awesome!!
