Photo: Spencer Pyne | Spencer write: I am primarily a bassist with 55 years of experience. I came to Colorado from New York on a scholarship to the DU Lamont School of Music when I was 18 and never went back. Colorado has been my home ever since.
I play in several bands as needed! I am a member of The John Adams Band which performs a tribute show of John Denver’s music. We did a tour of The Netherlands and Belgium and played a sold out show at the DU Newman Center in 2022; Close ‘n Counter which is an instrumental guitar trio, with Gordon Close and Richard Blanchard. We play local concerts as well as Senior Living Centers throughout the Denver metro area; Eddy Roswell and Phantom Ranch which performs original music of the Southwest written by Nashville veteran Ed Skibbe. We are mostly a recording band these days with the occasional live performance in Denver or Phoenix; Backup bassist for Shelvis and the Roustabouts which does an oldies show featuring songs of Elvis Presley and many others; Backup bassist for Soda Blue which is a Classic Rock band founded by David Fermanich and Alice Frish; and I also back up Steve Edmonson, a blues focused singer/songwriter, who was one of two local blues artists to make it to the finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis this past January.
When I’m not out playing, I run a small project studio out of my home called ESP Recording.
