Melissa is designing a project based learning module around music to be implemented within our youth facilities. First step is to observe youth buy in with a music club. I am reaching out to musicians that would be interested in giving back to volunteer one time and come into the facility and play a few songs, speak to kids about their journey into music and coach students on the art of practice and follow through.
1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday/Thursday in facility
1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Club
Any acoustic instrument is acceptable. Students have specifically asked for guitar, drums, piano, vocals, violin, trumpet and trombone. We do have an electric drum kit for drummers but the facility is also open to hand drums coming in. DM me to look at a calendar.
