We are currently accepting entries for our Texas Troubadour Songwriters contest to be held October 29, 2022 in Clifton Texas. Entries may be submitted thru August 8, 2022. This is a monied contest with amounts of $1500, $1000 and $500. We invite nationally known country singer/songwriters to do the judging.
We are excited to announce the husband-and-wife team of TG Sheppard & Kelly Lang will judge and perform at the 9th Annual Texas Troubadour Songwriter Classic at the Bosque Arts Center.
Sheppard has 21 number 1 hits to his credit, including “I Loved ‘em Every One,” “Slow Burn,” and “Do You Wanna Go to Heaven.” Lang is a three-time Star Search winner whose songs have been recorded by Crystal Gayle, Jerry Lee Lewis, and George Jones; she has also recorded duets with Barry Gibb, Olivia Newton-John, and Lee Greenwood. The two recently released the album Iconic Duets.
Deadline for entering this year’s Texas Troubadour is August 8, 2022. The contest features a $1,000 Song of the Year for song entries and $1500 and $500 live performances awards for singer/songwriters.
