Local gorgeous singer/songwriter Katey Laurel won the Salida “leg” of the Country Showdown and will be presenting radio station KBVC Country Radio in the Colorado State finals on Sunday, August 31st in Copper Mountain. And lovely Arianna Bustos won the Raton, NM, section of the contest and will be representing KBKZ Coyote Country.
Unfortunately it will be one heck of a contest ‘cause their competition is going to be the awesome Kristi Hoopes (representing KCRT in Trinidad), the fantastic Allen Krehbiel (representing KKEE in Eagle/Avon), the terrific Brad Richmond (KATR, Fort Morgan) and winners from 2 other local shows! Only one more local show to go – in Springfield, CO on August 23rd! And they are looking for more contestants – your last chance to enter for this year! Go for it! Just remember the top winner gets $100,000 and a chance at a potential record deal. Extra points are added if you play an instrument and if you write your own songs. Don’t waste this chance to be heard!
