STEVEN SWEET ON WARRANT’S SHOW DEBACLE IN ILLINOIS
Steven Sweet: “I did not lose my home to a tornado, but I did have to return home from my work week to tell my wife (and 10 week-old son) on Mother’s Day, that we can’t pay our bills this week.”
Facebook — After a crazy weekend in the world of all that is Warrant – the band’s drummer Steven “Sticky” Sweet has thrown his collective 2 cents into the pot. Sweet recently became a Father and has shared his take on what happened with the cancelled charity gig in Illinois over Mother’s Day weekend. He ties it altogether with mention of his wife, new son and how things are a bit rough for him as well when it comes to paying their bills. Warrant allegedly took $ 10,000.00 and split town before playing (because they didn’t get their other contractually agreed to $ 5,000.00 – for a total of $ 15,000.00 before they stepped onto the stage).
A local radio DJ has invited Warrant on air to explain their leaving town with the 10K yet not playing a note.
Warrant’s next show in the area is scheduled at the “Hollywood Casino” in Joliet Illinois on June 19th.

LOCAL RADIO DJ “CHANDLER” INVITES WARRANT TO EXPLAIN ON HIS SHOW
Local radio DJ “Chandler” from 96-7 I-Rock in central Illinois invites the band WARRANT onto his show to explain their bailing on charity gig.
Illinois — From the heartland in America to the world wide web, we bring you more on the Warrant cancelled show drama from this past weekend. For those who haven’t heard all the grim and gory details, we invite you to read part 1 on Metal Sludge at the link.
In short, there was a terrible tornado outbreak that ripped through 7 states including Central Illinois last November 17th, 2013. It devastated many homes; businesses and lives were lost in the area. It was pretty bad causing accumulative damages near 2 billion dollars. So bad there is a Wikipedia page dedicated to it. Locals have worked hard to rebuild and move forward. Some have also put on related benefits and charities over the last 6 months. One local promoter even reached out to set up a rock concert that was to feature headliners Warrant. The event was scheduled for Saturday, May 10th, 2014.

Sadly Warrant didn’t play and there appears to be a variation of opinions.
In the wake of this, Local DJ Adam “Cha Cha” Chandler is the mid-day jock at 96.7 I-Rock in Central Illinois and has asked the band to call his show and explain their actions. The local radio personality has posted a blog on Facebook and made several additional comments within the posting.
We don’t know much about Chandler other than the following: He practices Ju Jitsu, wants to eat at 12 restaurants, is trying to get his family to Arizona, and clearly is NOT a fan of Warrant. At least not this week. You can read more about Cha Cha Chandler on I-Rock’s website.

EUROVISION 2014 SONGS TOP iTUNES CHARTS
Songs from the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest are topping iTunes charts all over Europe and are even doing very well worldwide!
Yesterday, it was the winning song of this year’s contest, Conchita Wurst’s ‘Rise Like A Phoenix‘ taking the top spot in European charts, topping the charts or being in the top three in 14 countries: Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Montenegro and Slovenia. Conchita’s song also is number 9 worldwide!
The Dutch entry Calm After the Storm by The Common Linnets took the third place in the pan-European iTunes chart and the 12th place worldwide and is in the top three in 16 countries.
Sanna Nielsen’s Undo popped in at the 9th place and Basim’s Cliché Love Song that represented Denmark, got to the 14th place. Sanna reached the 16th place worldwide.
In the European top 25, we can also find Aram MP3’s Not Alone at spot 16 and the Norwegian entry Silent Storm by Carl Espen at position number 18, followed by Sebalter’s Hunter of Stars that represented Switzerland. The last one to make it to the European top 25 is Germany’s entry of Is It Right by Elaiza at position 22.
