Thoughts and Prayers|

By Ryan Grenoble, HuffPost | In an emotional video Wednesday, 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold told fans he’s been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer that’s metastasized to his lungs, and would therefore have to cancel the band’s upcoming tour.

“So I’d been sick a couple of weeks ago, and then went to the hospital and got checked out, and had actually got the diagnosis that I had clear cell renal [cell] carcinoma that had metastasized into my lung,”

Arnold said as he stared straight into the camera.

“And it’s Stage 4, and that’s not real good.”

The 46-year-old band co-founder said he’s unafraid of what the future holds for him, thanks to his faith.

“So I have no fear,” said Arnold. “I really, sincerely am not scared of it at all.”

“But it is gonna force us to cancel our tour this summer. And we’re sorry for that. And I’d love for you to lift me up in prayer every chance you get.”

He closed with a wink to the band’s 2008 single “It’s Not My Time,” and suggested maybe it’s time to go give it a listen.

“Thank you guys so much,” he said. “God loves you. We love you. See you.”
