By Marcus James Dixon, Gold Derby | Most of the winners of the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards will be announced May 8 on Prime Video, although some have been unveiled early. Country music legend Reba McEntire, who has won 16 ACM Awards to date, will host the 60th annual ceremony from the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas.
Breakout newcomer Ella Langley topped the list of nominations with an impressive eight bids. In the days leading up to Thursday’s ceremony, Langley was named the winner of New Female Artist of the Year and Visual Media of the Year, Zach Top won New Male Artist of the Year, and the Red Clay Strays won New Duo or Group of the Year
Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson each received seven nominations this year and compete for Entertainer of the Year against Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, and Chris Stapleton. Wilson is the top category’s defending champ.
The monumental anniversary show will celebrate six decades of country music and feature performances by the genre’s most legendary and multi-award-winning stars, including Blake Shelton, Eric Church, and Lainey Wilson.
