By Jacob Oller, Paste Magazine | The 95th Academy Awards [were presented Sunday night, March 12th ], riding high on a wave of multiverses and googly eyes. Actors have comeback narratives and nominations that sketched people out so deeply that the Oscars had to check to see if any of their laws (which say you gotta pay if you wanna play) were broken. You’re probably sick of awards season by now. The back-and-forth. The underdog favorites that get late heel turns; the behind-the-scenes arcs echoing on-screen narratives. The Whale existing.

Breaking from recent tradition, Jimmy Kimmel returned for a three-peat performance. At least they’ll actually be airing all the categories this year.

COMBO thinks it’s important that you know who the “music” winners were!
