Mariah Carey kicked off the year with “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in the top spot for two weeks. The holiday classic, originally released in 1994, returned in December 2022 for its milestone 10th week at No. 1 and closed the year atop the chart.

Adele’s “Easy on Me” originally arrived at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 2021.
