Make Music Denver Day – Sunday, June 21st

DENVER – Each summer solstice, more than 700 cities world-wide celebrate music with day-long music festivals. Denver joins the celebration for the fourth year with Make Music Denver. This year, the free music festival takes place at the Clyfford Still Museum on Sunday, June 21st from 12 p.m.-7 p.m. Make Music Denver, presented by Swallow Hill Music, features free concerts by Color, Spencer Erik Crawford Band, Chris McGarry & the Insomniacs, aka laser bunny, and more.

Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held annually in 103 countries. In 2012, Denver joined the list of cities bringing Make Music Day to their community. Last year more than 500 attendees enjoyed free concerts and workshops, including a harmonica workshop taught to more than 100 people.

At Swallow Hill Music, we believe that everyone is a musician. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn hand-drumming and ukulele during Make Music Denver’s free workshops. No instrument? No problem! Swallow Hill Music will provide the instruments needed. To close the workshop portion of the event, Swallow Hill Music will lead a giant sing-a-long of some of our favorite songs.

Clyfford Still Museum and Swallow Hill Music have partnered for the last three years to bring monthly free concerts to the Clyfford Still Museum’s forecourt. Make Music Denver will be the fourth day of free concerts offered this summer.

Full event details and line-up are listed below. Thank you for supporting live music with Swallow Hill Music!

What:  Make Music Denver 2015
When: Sunday, June 21, 2015, from 12pm-7pm
